VerSys® Hip System LD/Fx Hip Prostheses
The VerSys Press-Fit LD/Fx and VerSys Cemented LD/Fx prostheses are designed
to accommodate the surgeon's choice for certain patients with hip joint
fractures or the need for a total hip joint replacement. In general, a
physician may select one of these implants for a patient whose lower weight
and less active lifestyle, in the surgeon's judgement, make one of these
implants an appropriate choice.
VerSys Press-Fit LD/Fx Hip Prosthesis
The Press-Fit LD/Fx uses a corundumized (roughened) surface finish, which
allows for bone on-growth to promote secure bone implant interface. A rasp
is used to create the shape of the implant within the femoral canal. The
rasped shape is slightly smaller than the implants. When the implant is
inserted, press fit is achieved.
VerSys Cemented LD/Fx Hip Prosthesis
The Cemented LD/Fx uses a satin surface finish and is implanted using bone
cement. A centralization device is used to help center the implant, within
the femoral canal, at the bottom of the prosthesis.
